About Anawrahtar
Leadership University
Rooted in ancient Bagan wisdom, shaping mindful leaders for a peaceful and prosperous world.
Our Legacy
A Vision Born from Bagan's Golden Age
Anawrahtar Leadership University (ALU) was established in 2018 with a singular mission: to cultivate leaders who embody wisdom, ethical integrity, and compassionate action. Named after King Anawrahta — the visionary monarch who unified Myanmar and fostered the golden era of Bagan — our institution draws inspiration from the deep spiritual and cultural heritage of this ancient land.
We believe that true leadership is not about power or position, but about service, mindfulness, and the ability to inspire positive change. In a rapidly changing world, ALU stands as a beacon of timeless values integrated with contemporary leadership science.
Today, we are proud to be Myanmar's first university dedicated exclusively to mindful leadership development, attracting students from across Southeast Asia and beyond who seek a transformative educational experience.
Our Mission
To develop ethical, mindful, and visionary leaders who serve humanity by integrating ancient wisdom with modern knowledge, fostering peace, sustainability, and social harmony across Myanmar and the world.

Founder's Message
Dr. Anawrahtar
"When I walk among the ancient temples of Bagan, I am reminded that great civilizations are built not by armies or wealth, but by wise and compassionate leaders. Our university was born from this conviction — that leadership is a sacred responsibility. We don't just teach management skills; we nurture the whole person — mind, heart, and spirit."
"At ALU, students discover their authentic leadership voice through mindfulness practice, ethical inquiry, and deep engagement with our cultural heritage. I invite you to join us on this transformative journey — to become a leader who serves, inspires, and uplifts."
— Dr. Anawrahtar, Founder & Chief Luminary
